We have uploaded to the World War One Roll of Honour a biography of Alexander Gidley Essington Anstey of the Gippsland, Victoria Ansteys of Australia, who was shot (but survived) whilst conducting patrols in no man’s land to hold the line along the Broodseinde Ridge in Belgium, a few weeks after the successful Battle of Broodseinde near Ypres in 1917. Anybody who has information they would like to add to this biography, please contact us at research@theansteystory.com.
Anybody who has researched their Anstey ancestors’ wartime heroics in World War One and wishes for their findings to be uploaded to the Anstey story project website, feel free to contact us.
