Hugh George Essington Anstey Appeal for Help

We have uploaded to the World War One Roll of Honour a partial biography of Hugh George Essington Anstey of the Gippsland, Victoria Ansteys of Australia, who was in the ‘Reserve of Officers’ in 1911. In March 1915, soon after the outbreak of World War One, Hugh was transferred temporarily to the 13th Light Horse Regiment and he was retransferred back to the ‘Reserve of Officers’ after war’s end in January 1919. However we are unable to find any information whatsoever as to what Hugh did to help the war effort between those two dates. Anybody who can enlighten us, please contact us at research@theansteystory.com.

Anybody who has researched their Anstey ancestors’ wartime heroics in World War One and wishes for their findings to be uploaded to the Anstey story project website, feel free to contact us.
