Charles William Gibbs Anstey World War One Hero?

We have uploaded to the World War One Roll of Honour a biography of Charles William Gibbs Anstey of the Chew Magna Ansteys who was conscripted in New Zealand in 1917 as part of the “Fifth Ballot of the South Canterbury Recruiting District“.

However we have no idea whether he actually served during World War One – anybody who possesses such knowledge please contact us at research@theansteystory.com.

Anybody who has researched their Anstey ancestors’ wartime heroics and wishes for their findings to be uploaded to the Anstey story project website, feel free to contact us.
