We have uploaded to the World War One Roll of Honour a biography of Winfred Ethel Anstey of the Tywardreath Ansteys, who was born in New Zealand and served as a Nurse on various Hospital Ships during the war. She also managed to survive after a ship that she was on was hit by a German torpedo in 1915, causing it to sink in less than 15 minutes.
Anybody who has information they would like to add to this biography, please contact us at research@theansteystory.com.
Anybody who has researched their Anstey ancestors’ wartime heroics and wishes for their findings to be uploaded to the Anstey story project website, feel free to contact us.
