We have uploaded to the World War One Roll of Honour a biography of Reginald Frederick Anstey of the Dowland Ansteys, who was seriously wounded in battle (we are currently unable to ascertain which one) at some point in late 1918, fighting with the 15th Battalion of the Gloucester Regiment, dying from his injuries in December 1918 in hospital.
Anybody who has information they would like to add to this biography, or can enlighten us regarding battles fought by Reginald, please contact us at research@theansteystory.com.
Anybody who has researched their Anstey ancestors’ wartime heroics and wishes for their findings to be uploaded to the Anstey story project website, feel free to contact us.
