We have uploaded to the World War One Roll of Honour a biography of Frank Silvester Anstey of the Birmingham Ansteys, who joined the Royal Air Force in 1917 as an Air Mechanic. He spent some time “in the field with the Russian Expeditionary Force RAF Unit” in Russia in August 1919 and he eventually rose to the rank of Major.

Anybody who has information they would like to add to this biography please contact us at research@theansteystory.com.

Anybody who has researched their Anstey ancestors’ wartime heroics and wishes for their findings to be uploaded to the Anstey story project website, feel free to contact us.
