Peter James Ansty World War One Hero

We have uploaded to the World War One Roll of Honour a biography of Peter James Ansty of the Dorchester Anstys, who signed up with the Royal Navy at the tender age of 13, and served on (amongst other ships) ‘HMS Marlborough‘ as a ‘Musician’ during the war, therefore taking part in the Battle of Jutland in 1916.

Anybody who has information they would like to add to this biography please contact us at research@theansteystory.com.

Anybody who has researched their Anstey ancestors’ wartime heroics and wishes for their findings to be uploaded to the Anstey story project website, feel free to contact us.
