We have uploaded to the World War One Roll of Honour a biography of Thomas George Ansty of the Dorchester Anstys, who first joined the Army in 1901 and was then remobilised in 1914 at the outset of war with the 2nd Battalion of the Royal Sussex Regiment, suffering serious injuries during the disastrous Battle of Aubers Ridge on the Western Front in May 1915.
Anybody who has information they would like to add to this biography please contact us at research@theansteystory.com.
Anybody who has researched their Anstey ancestors’ wartime heroics and wishes for their findings to be uploaded to the Anstey story project website, feel free to contact us.
