We have uploaded to the World War One Roll of Honour a biography of Alfred Leslie Anstey of the Back Harbour, Twillingate Ansteys of Newfoundland, Canada, who signed up for active service at St John’s with the 1st Newfoundland Regiment in 1916 and was gassed and suffered shell wounds on the front line in 1918, amongst other things.
