We have uploaded to the World War One Roll of Honour a biography of Arthur John Anstee of the Ivinghoe Anstees, who signed up with the Royal Garrison Artillery as a Fitter as soon as he turned 18, fighting on the Western Front in France where he was gassed in August 1917, and was later promoted to become one of their youngest Staff Sergeants.
Anybody who has information they would like to add to this biography please contact us at research@theansteystory.com.
Anybody who has researched their Anstey ancestors’ wartime heroics and wishes for their findings to be uploaded to the Anstey story project website, feel free to contact us.
