We have uploaded to the World War One Roll of Honour a biography of Gordon Arthur Anstee of the Ivinghoe Anstees who, due to his age, signed up for service in June 1918 “aged 17 1/2“, with the Royal Air Force as a fitter. He remained with the RAF after the war, spending nearly two years in Egypt (1921-1923) with ‘216 Squadron’.
Anybody who has information they would like to add to this biography please contact us at research@theansteystory.com.
Anybody who has researched their Anstey ancestors’ wartime heroics and wishes for their findings to be uploaded to the Anstey story project website, feel free to contact us.
