Richard Collicott Anstee World War One Hero

We have uploaded to the World War One Roll of Honour a biography of Richard Collicott Anstee of the Edlesborough Anstees, who signed up for active service in May 1916 aged “17 years 11 months old” and was fighting with the 2/2 London Regiment of the Royal Fusiliers on the Western Front in October 1917 when he received a serious “gunshot wound to his left shoulder“.

Anybody who has information they would like to add to this biography, please contact us at research@theansteystory.com.

Anybody who has researched their Anstey ancestors’ wartime heroics and wishes for their findings to be uploaded to the Anstey story project website, feel free to contact us.
