Stanley Anstey World War One Hero

We have uploaded to the World War One Roll of Honour a biography of Stanley Anstey of the Chatham Ansteys, who enlisted with the Army in 1907 joining the 2nd Battalion ‘The Buffs’ – thence being wounded in two major battles on the Western Front in 1915, the Second Battle of Ypres (“Gunshot wound to his leg calf“) and the Battle of Loos.

Anybody who has information they would like to add to this biography, please contact us at research@theansteystory.com.

Anybody who has researched their Anstey ancestors’ wartime heroics and wishes for their findings to be uploaded to the Anstey story project website, feel free to contact us.
