We have uploaded to the World War One Roll of Honour a biography of Reginald Cook Anstee of the Chewton Mendip Ansteys, who enlisted for active service in Bath, probably in 1916, and was “killed in action” in Northern France in October 1918 whilst serving as a Sapper with the 154th Field Company of the Royal Engineers.
Anybody who has information they would like to add to this biography, or can elaborate on Reginald’s war story, please contact us at research@theansteystory.com.
Anybody who has researched their Anstey ancestors’ wartime heroics and wishes for their findings to be uploaded to the Anstey story project website, feel free to contact us.
