Frank Gerald Anstey World War One Hero

We have uploaded to the World War One Roll of Honour a biography of Frank Gerald Anstey of the Kennford Ansteys, who enlisted for service in May 1915, joining the 17th (Duke Of Cambridge’s Own) Middlesex Regiment as a Private. He survived the horrors of the early weeks of the Battle of the Somme, but in September 1916 a German attack involving poison gas killed fourteen members of his battalion near Albert, France, including Frank.

Anybody who has information they would like to add to this biography please contact us at research@theansteystory.com.

Anybody who has researched their Anstey ancestors’ wartime heroics and wishes for their findings to be uploaded to the Anstey story project website, feel free to contact us.
