We have uploaded to the World War One Roll of Honour a biography of Alfred Roy Anstee of the Potsgrove Anstees, who emigrated to Canada in c1910 and then served with the 49th Overseas Battalion of the Canadian Expeditionary Force in France, being “blown up in April 1917” (but surviving) during the Battle of Arras.
Anybody who has information they would like to add to this biography please contact us at research@theansteystory.com.
Anybody who has researched their Anstey ancestors’ wartime heroics and wishes for their findings to be uploaded to the Anstey story project website, feel free to contact us.

I am the granddaughter of Alfred Roy Anstee and have some photos of his regiment from WW1. Are you interested in these photos?
Respectfully
