We have uploaded to the World War One Roll of Honour a biography of Albert Edward William Anstey of the Bathealton Ansteys, who “volunteered in 1914 and was drafted in the following year to the Western Front. Whilst there he took part in the heavy fighting on the Somme and at Arras, Ypres and in many other engagements until the conclusion of hostilities.”
