William John Anstey World War One POW

We have uploaded to the World War One Roll of Honour a biography of William John Anstey of the Kennford Ansteys, who was (working?) in Germany at the outbreak of war in August 1914, and so was rounded up by the Germans along with a few thousand other British civilians there at the time, and spent the entire conflict interned at Ruhleben Civilian Prisoner Of War Camp in Germany.

Anybody who has information they would like to add to this biography please contact us at research@theansteystory.com.

Anybody who has researched their Anstey ancestors’ wartime heroics and wishes for their findings to be uploaded to the Anstey story project website, feel free to contact us.
