Harold John Anstey World War One Hero

We have uploaded to the World War One Roll of Honour a biography of Harold John Anstey of the Broadclyst Ansteys, who was an Acting Corporal with the 1st/6th Hampshire Regiment serving in Mesopotamia in 1915 amongst other places. According to his own report he “was severely wounded on three occasions during this campaign but was back in line again when General Maude made his successful attack on Baghdad“.

Anybody who has information they would like to add to this biography please contact us at research@theansteystory.com.

Anybody who has researched their Anstey ancestors’ wartime heroics and wishes for their findings to be uploaded to the Anstey story project website, feel free to contact us.
