We have uploaded to the World War One Roll of Honour a biography of Alfred Anstey of the St Gluvias Ansteys, who emigrated to South Africa in 1902 then during World War One spent twelve months with the ‘Rand Light Infantry’ in German South West Africa; sixteen months with the ‘9th South African Infantry’ in German East Africa; before embarking for Europe with the 3rd Battalion South African Infantry Corps and fighting at Passchendaele.
