William Anstey Indian Rebellion Hero

We have uploaded to the Pre-World War One Roll of Honour a biography of William Anstey of a currently unknown sub-branch, who fought in the Indian Rebellion of 1857/58 as well as being part of an expeditionary force sent to Abyssinia in 1868. He later moved to Harlington and fell on desperately hard times.

Anybody who has information they would like to add to this biography, or knows to which Anstey sub-branch William belongs, please contact us at research@theansteystory.com.

Anybody who has researched their Anstey ancestors’ wartime heroics and wishes for their findings to be uploaded to the Anstey story project website, feel free to contact us.
