We have uploaded to the World War One Roll of Honour a biography of William Henry Anstey of the Sixpenny Handley Ansteys, who signed up for service with the Royal Navy around a month after his 18th birthday, serving on the ship ‘Victory II’ as rank ‘Sto II’ until on 16 May 1918 he was “invalided [due to] talipes equinovarus [clubfoot]“.
Anybody who has information they would like to add to this biography please contact us at research@theansteystory.com.
Anybody who has researched their Anstey ancestors’ wartime heroics and wishes for their findings to be uploaded to the Anstey story project website, feel free to contact us.
