William Henry Anstey (b 1894) World War One Hero

We have uploaded to the World War One Roll of Honour a biography of William Henry Anstey of the Crediton Ansteys, who enlisted right at the outset of war in August 1914, at Mill Hill in Middlesex, arrived in France on 7 November 1914, was transferred to the 4th Battalion Middlesex Regiment in 1915, and was “killed in action” near Ypres on 29 September 1915 whilst serving as a Private.
