We have uploaded to the World War One Roll of Honour a biography of Henry Anstey of the Crediton Ansteys, who signed up for service fairly early in the conflict and was posted to the 3rd (City of London) Battalion, London Regiment, with whom he fought until he was “killed in action” on 9 September 1916 during the Battle of Ginchy in Northern France.
Anybody who has information they would like to add to this biography please contact us at research@theansteystory.com.
Anybody who has researched their Anstey ancestors’ wartime heroics and wishes for their findings to be uploaded to the Anstey story project website, feel free to contact us.
