Harry Anstey Second Boer War Hero

We have uploaded to the Pre-World War One Roll of Honour a biography of Harry Anstey of a currently unknown sub-branch, who enlisted in the Army aged “17 years and 7 months” and was embodied on 6 January 1902, embarking for South Africa on 22 February 1902 to fight in the Second Boer War.

After surviving the conflict, Harry was transferred to the Northumberland Fusiliers on 9 February 1904 – after this we currently lose track of him.

Anybody who has information they would like to add to this biography, or knows to which sub-branch Harry connects or what became of him, please contact us at research@theansteystory.com.

Anybody who has researched their Anstey ancestors’ wartime heroics and wishes for their findings to be uploaded to the Anstey story project website, feel free to contact us.
