John Joseph Anstey Second Boer War Hero

We have uploaded to the Pre-World War One Roll of Honour a biography of John Joseph Anstey of the Exminster Ansteys, who was “embodied” with the 1st and/or 2nd Battalion South Lancashire Regiment from 3 January 1900 to 3 August 1901, thus serving in the Second Boer War in South Africa and being “paid a £5 War Gratuity in accordance with Army Order 5 O/1901“.
