Washington Miller E. Anstee World War One Hero

We have uploaded to the World War One Roll of Honour a biography of Washington Miller E. Anstee, known as Miller, of the Christchurch, Monmouthshire Anstees, who volunteered for active service right at the outset of war and fought in France until he received a serious gunshot wound to his left arm and shoulder whilst fighting at Contalmaison near Picardy, France during the Battle of the Somme.

Anybody who has information they would like to add to this biography please contact us at research@theansteystory.com.

Anybody who has researched their Anstey ancestors’ wartime heroics and wishes for their findings to be uploaded to the Anstey story project website, feel free to contact us.
