James Robert Anstee World War One Hero

We have uploaded to the World War One Roll of Honour a biography of James Robert Anstee of the Doynton Ansteys, who initially signed up for ‘Home Service’ only in December 1915 but later changed his mind and served with the 163rd Labour Company of the Labour Corps in France, joining the British Expeditionary Forces there in August 1916.

Anybody who has information they would like to add to this biography please contact us at research@theansteystory.com.

Anybody who has researched their Anstey ancestors’ wartime heroics and wishes for their findings to be uploaded to the Anstey story project website, feel free to contact us.
