According to official sources “No information about individuals survives from Australian censuses from 1901 to 1996. It was government policy to destroy census forms after statistical analysis was completed“. However there are other sources we can use, such as the 1913 Electoral Rolls, which do list individuals, which we can combine with our ever increasing knowledge of which ‘Anstey’, Ansty’, ‘Anstee’ and ‘Anstie’ were living in Australia at the time to produce a comprehensive listing.
