Arthur Herbert Anstey World War One Hero

We have uploaded to the World War One Roll of Honour a biography of Arthur Herbert Anstey of the Birmingham Ansteys, who signed up for active service right at the outset of war and was posted to the 7th Battalion of the (Princess Charlotte Of Wales) Royal Berkshire Regiment as a Private, entering the ‘France Theatre of War’ on 19 September 1915. He then moved to Salonika in Greece where he remained until his death on 19 October 1916 in Salonika.

Anybody who has information they would like to add to this biography please contact us at research@theansteystory.com.

Anybody who has researched their Anstey ancestors’ wartime heroics and wishes for their findings to be uploaded to the Anstey story project website, feel free to contact us.
