James Anstey (b 1888) World War One Hero

We have uploaded to the World War One Roll of Honour a biography of James Anstey of the Foleshill Anstys, who signed up for active service in June 1916 and was finally called up for duty on 25 May 1918 and posted to the 19th Reserve Battery of the Royal Field Artillery (Nbr 4 Depot) as a Gunner, though he eventually only served in England.

Anybody who has information they would like to add to this biography please contact us at research@theansteystory.com.

Anybody who has researched their Anstey ancestors’ wartime heroics and wishes for their findings to be uploaded to the Anstey story project website, feel free to contact us.
