George B. Anstee American Civil War Hero

We have uploaded to the Pre-World War One Roll of Honour a biography of George B. Anstee, born in c1841 in England to currently unknown parents, who fought on the side of the Union in the American Civil War, enlisting at Portage, New York on September 9 1864. He was posted to the 2nd Regiment New York Mounted Rifles as a Private (Service Number: 15394) and he was discharged on 18 May 1865 at at Petersburg, Virginia, having presumably fought in the Siege of Petersburg.
