Edwin Anstey World War One Hero

We have uploaded to the World War One Roll of Honour a biography of Edwin Anstey, sometimes known as Edmund, of the St Gluvias Ansteys, who volunteered for service in July 1915 with the Duke Of Cornwall’s Light Infantry (Chiseldon Cornwall Pioneers) 10th Service Battalion (Service Number: 22889) but was discharged less than a year later on 6 July 1916 “no longer physically fit for war service” having never served abroad.

Anybody who has information they would like to add to this biography please contact us at research@theansteystory.com.

Anybody who has researched their Anstey ancestors’ wartime heroics and wishes for their findings to be uploaded to the Anstey story project website, feel free to contact us.
