We have uploaded to the World War One Roll of Honour a biography of Alfred Henry Anstey of the Birmingham Ansteys, who enlisted for service just a couple of months before the end of the conflict, on 17 August 1918 in Gosport, Hampshire with the Royal Marine Light Infantry (part of the Royal Navy) as a Private (Service Number: 3314S) – serving for a few months in the Portsmouth Division (Special Home Coast Defence).
