Arthur Harold Anstey World War One Hero

We have uploaded to the World War One Roll of Honour a biography of Arthur Harold Anstey of the Hampton in Arden Ansteys, who volunteered with the Royal Garrison Artillery as a Gunner (Service Number: 94481). He served on the Western Front, probably in 1916 and certainly in 1917, then on 3 November 1917, whilst with the 16th Siege Battalion (40th Siege Battery) of the Royal Garrison Artillery, he was admitted to 51st Field Ambulance having been “gassed with mustard gas” a day earlier.

Anybody who has information they would like to add to this biography please contact us at research@theansteystory.com.

Anybody who has researched their Anstey ancestors’ wartime heroics and wishes for their findings to be uploaded to the Anstey story project website, feel free to contact us.
