Harry Anstee (SL 2)

See ‘Anstey: A Complete History From the Norman Invasion to World War One‘ for much more on the Salt Lake City, Utah Anstees. In addition to biographies of various Anstey individuals who make up this sub-branch, the book contains a plethora of Anstey research and statistics, including an analysis of how the Salt Lake City, Utah Anstees fit into the pedigree descendent from Hubert de Anesti, the 12th century originator of the ‘Anstey’ surname.

SL 2. Harry Anstee: Known as Henry, he was born in 1848 in Mill Hill to father John Anstee (BA 3). His father died when he was an infant so he was placed in an orphanage temporarily in 1851. He was living with his brother John Anstee (BA 10) in Mill Hill in 1861 and 1871, working as a labourer. By the 1880 Census he had emigrated to Denver in America – he was unmarried and living with his brother George Anstee (SL 1) and his family.

After this we lose track of him.
