The Potsgrove Anstees

by Gary. M. Ansteychief researcher of the Anstey story project.

Overview of the Potsgrove Anstees

The Potsgrove Anstees of Bedfordshire are a sub-branch of the Swanbourne Anstees of Buckinghamshire. We include in this sub-branch Woburn which lies a couple of miles from Potsgrove (though see Further Details #1 below for another sub-branch that was also connected to Woburn)

The patriarch of the Potsgrove Anstees is Edward Anstee (PO 1), who arrived in the parish in 1777 from Swanbourne.
