Joseph Ansty Junior (HA 6)

See ‘Anstey: A Complete History From the Norman Invasion to World War One‘ for much more on the Hampton in Arden Ansteys. In addition to biographies of various Anstey individuals who make up this sub-branch, the book contains a plethora of Anstey research and statistics, including an analysis of how the Hampton in Arden Ansteys fit into the pedigree descendent from Hubert de Anesti, the 12th century originator of the ‘Anstey’ surname.

HA 6. Joseph Ansty Junior:  He was born in 1683 in Hampton in Arden to father Joseph Anstey (HA 4). He married Susanna Boston in 1699 in Hampton in Arden, he was living in Balsall at the time. They had children Margery Anstey (b 1700); Joseph Ansty (b 1701, died 1706); Susanna Ansty (b 1703, likely had a daughter “Ann, daughter of Susannah Ansty a pauper” buried in 1730 in Berkswell); and Samuel Anstey (CO 1 – b 1705 to father “Joseph Anstey Junr” – patriarch of the Coleshill Ansteys).

He was buried “a pauper” in Berkswell on 20 August 1728.
