BI 6. Samuel Anstey: He was born in 1776 in Birmingham to father John Anstey (BI 2). He married Mary Bowdler in 1797 in Aston Juxta Birmingham and they had children in Birmingham and later Ulverston:
- Ann Anstey (b 1798);
- Samuel Anstey (BI 15 – b 1800); and
- Michael Anstey (baptised in 1810 in St Mary’s Church, Ulverston, Lancashire)
In 1810 he was an iron founder in Ulverston.
