William Henry Anstey (b 1879) World War One Hero

We have uploaded to the World War One Roll of Honour a biography of William Henry Anstey of the St Gluvias Ansteys, who signed up for service with the Army Service Corps in 1915 and remained in France throughout the rest of the conflict. After the war was over he signed up for another year to participate in Rhineland clean-up operations in Germany.

Anybody who has information they would like to add to this biography please contact us at research@theansteystory.com.

Anybody who has researched their Anstey ancestors’ wartime heroics and wishes for their findings to be uploaded to the Anstey story project website, feel free to contact us.
