We have uploaded to the World War One Roll of Honour a biography of William Henry Anstey of the Castle Cary Ansteys, who signed up for active service at the outset of war, posted to the 2/1st Bucks Battalion of the Oxfordshire and Buckinghamshire Light Infantry, and was “killed in action” near St Julien, Ypres “age 21” on 22 August 1917, by this time a Sergeant.
